Welcome to Leicester Therapeutic School 

On behalf of the children, staff, governors and proprietors I would like to warmly welcome you to our website. 

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of a team that work together to secure the most inclusive education for all, always believing that anything is possible! 

We are a specialist education setting for pupils aged 5 – 11 years old (Year 1 to Year 6). We support children with a range of special educational needs and are committed to children’s well-being, achieving high standards and providing the very best opportunities for all in our care. 

​Our school’s values and vision are embodied by our school motto; ‘building foundations through nurture and mindset’, this symbolises a child’s growth and development through their individual learning journey whilst at Leicester Therapeutic School. 

We are exceptionally proud to serve our local community and pride ourselves on the home-school relationships we create.  We acknowledge the importance of our families to the successes of our children.  We therefore warmly welcome our parents and carers to attend our many, varied school experiences from celebrating successes to participating in parent workshops. 

We have developed a curriculum that is ambitious, exciting and engaging and is shaped by shared values that all pupils have a right to experience education in a safe and caring environment. We believe passionately that when children are placed in an environment that nurtures confidence, self-esteem and has high expectations of learning, they begin to flourish. We know that with the right support at the right time, pupils will thrive in school and be ready for the next stage of their education.
